Google Pixel Fold all specs revealed following Galaxy Z Fold 5 renders

Google Pixel Fold could be unveiled at the I/O 2023 keynote in May 2023. Yesterday, the official-looking renders of Google Pixel Fold revealed the design, and now the same source shared its key specifications, shortly after the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5’s renders leak.
According to tipster @Evleaks, the Google Pixel Fold measures 139.7mm x 79.5mm x 12.1mm (5.5″ tall by 3.1″ wide by 0.5″ thick) when folded and 139.7mm x 158.7mm x 5.8mm (5.5″ x 6.2″ x 0.2″) when unfolded as well as the smartphone’s weight is 283 grams.
The Pixel Fold’s 5.8-inch front OLED display (146.7mm) has a 17.4:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2092 resolution at 408PPI. Moreover, it features up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1550 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus cover glass.
Adding to this, the 7.6-inch (192.3mm) internal folding OLED display has a 6:5 aspect ratio and 1840 x 2208 resolution at 380PPI. Same 120Hz refresh as the outer display, but with slightly lesser, 1450 nit peak brightness, and a plastic protective layer.
Furthermore, the first foldable Pixel phone is equipped with a Tensor G2, Titan M2 co-processor, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and 4821mAh battery (typical) with 30-watt wired charging. It also features IPX8 rating for water resistance along with USB Type-C 3.2 gen 2.

Galaxy Z Fold 5 Renders
Yesterday, Onleaks in collaboration with Smartprix revealed the CAD renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone. The main upgrades in Samsung’s next foldable include new droplet (waterdrop) hinge, less visible crease, slimmer body when folded, slightly larger camera rings, and re-arranged LED flash.

Samsung Galaxy A55 to boast 32-megapixel selfie camera

Details about Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy A5x smartphone continue to appear. In a new report, it has been revealed that Samsung considering bringing a 32-megapixel selfie camera to the Galaxy A55 5G, scheduled for launch in 2024.
Starting with the Galaxy A51, Samsung utilized a 32-megapixel front camera in the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A54. If the report is correct, it’s going to be the company’s fifth handset, bringing the same resolution front camera sensor.

Besides 50-megapixel primary and 32-megapixel selfie cameras, the Galaxy A55 5G will be equipped with a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor, the same as its predecessor. Besides, details about the phone’s macro (third rear) camera sensor remain unknown, leaving hope for improvement.

Through an exclusive interview with Unbox Therapy, OnePlus gives an official look at an early build of its upcoming foldable, showcasing the revamped hinge build and “gapless” design. Pete notes that OnePlus retains over 600 patents surrounding elements of the hinge alone.
OnePlus Open foldable phone will come with a gapless design, similar to the Oppo Find N2. Notable, the company’s forthcoming foldable brings 31 fewer components in comparison.
In the video, Pete has Lew close the Open with a piece of paper tucked inside. It looks more like a case of strong magnets laid across the outer edges of the inner display to an outside viewer.

OnePlus is expected to launch its first foldable smartphone on October 19. Tomorrow, Samsung and Google will have their epic events, with the former set to unveil a set of Fan Edition products and the latter will unveil the Pixel 8 flagship and Pixel Watch 2nd generation.
