Galaxy S24 x Exynos 2400
Before this leak, we heard much about the Korean tech giant’s aspirations for its Exynos chipset. The Galaxy S24 may bring the Exynos 2400 processor, which allegedly features a 10-core architecture with a striking GPU developed in collaboration with AMD.
It doesn’t mean that the Galaxy S24 will stop utilizing the Snapdragon SoCs supplied by Qualcomm. However, the next year’s flagship lineup may follow the multi-chip strategy, bringing Exynos chipsets to some markets except for the US, and China.
A few days back, the same source shared an alleged specs sheet of Exynos 2400, listing the key details. As per the leak, Exynos 2400 could utilize -core architecture, featuring a Cortex-X4 core @ 3.1Ghz, two Cortex-A720 cores @ 2.9Ghz, three Cortex-A720 cores @ 2.6Ghz and four two Cortex-A720 cores @ 1.8Ghz.
Regarding GPU, the Exynos 2400 processor could feature Samsung Xclipse 940, based on RDNA2 6WGP with some tweaks (12CU / 768SP / 48TMUs / 32ROPs). In order to bring AI capabilities and tools to Exynos 2400, it comes with an NPU+ DSP (INT8: 44~??TOPs).
As we are months away from the official Galaxy S24 launch, things might change over time. Meanwhile, it’s almost confirmed that the Korean tech giant is wishing to ship at least the base S24 flagship with Exynos 2400 processor or in limited markets.
