Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones users already received April 2023 security patch in several countries and the company is now expanding this latest update for carrier-locked Galaxy Note 20 models in the US.

Users can identify the April 2023 update for the locked Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series with One UI build version N98xUSQU4HWD1. The new update comes with a massive size installation package of 1035.13 megabytes.

April 2023 security update fixes a bundle of Vulnerabilities and Exposure to improve system security and stability. In addition, the latest firmware also improves the Camera and Gallery of the device to deliver a better and new experience.

The fresh update includes the July 2024 security patch, which addresses over 55 security issues and vulnerabilities. This update also promises enhanced system stability, ensuring that users experience no interruptions, crashes, or lags. It improves some functions to provide smoother performance and better user experience.

Samsung has pushed the July 2024 security update to the Galaxy S23 series in Canada. This update is already out for users in several countries and the company will soon make it available for all models.

Users of Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are getting the July 2024 security update in Canada with One UI build version S911WVLS4CXE9, S916WVLS4CXE9, and S918WVLS4CXE9 respectively.

The update enhances security and security by fixing over 55 issues. It includes fixes from Google for critical vulnerabilities in Android, ensuring that Galaxy devices are more secure against potential threats.

Samsung has also addressed a bunch of vulnerabilities mainly related to One UI Home, System UI, and Secure Folder, further improving device security. Beyond security, the update brings improvements in system stability, fixes bugs, and introduces enhanced features for better usability.

While the update does not introduce new features, it brings general enhancements to provide a smoother and more efficient experience.

The update is rolling out gradually so it may take some hours or days to reach all eligible devices. Notably, it is compatible with Galaxy devices operating on Android 14.

Users can easily access the update via the Galaxy Store. To install, simply open the Galaxy Store, navigate to the menu option, select the Updates option and a list of available updates for Samsung apps will be displayed. You can tap on the refresh icon to install the update.
