Samsung served the Image Clipper feature to the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S20 FE smartphones. Users in select European markets have received the April 2023 firmware, which brings the intelligent picture cutout function to the company’s best Fan Edition models.

If you own the Galaxy S21 FE or the Galaxy S20 FE (5G), you should be able to use the Image Clipper which Samsung released with software builds ending with EWC7 and HWCH, respectively. It suggests the 4G variant of the S20 FE will also grab S23’s one of the best features.

If you’ve received the above-mentioned software update on your Fan Edition smartphone, you should try activating the Image Clipper. The feature works on the latest Samsung Gallery app version and requires the April 2023 OTA, which includes support.

After completing both requirements, just navigate to the Samsung Gallery app, and open any image, which has a clearly visible object. Now, keep tapping and holding on the object of the image and you will be able to move the object’s cutout along with the ability to copy, save and share.

The Korean tech giant first introduced Image Clipper with the Galaxy S23 series, in early February. Later, Samsung delivered One UI 5.1 software, but it doesn’t include the ability to allow users to create picture cutouts. As per reports, the staff needed additional time to optimize the feature for older models.

Along with the Image Clipper, Samsung’s April update brings the latest Android security patches for enhanced system security. Moreover, there are improvements for the Gallery app and stock Camera are expected, which several flagships got this month.
