Samsung Exynos 2400 processor is almost confirmed to make a stunning comeback with the Galaxy S24 series next year. The next flagship lineup will be equipped with both Snapdragon and Exynos chipsets (vary by market), helping Samsung boost the base RAM/Storage.

According to a report, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series could be equipped with Exynos 2400, apart from the next flagship Snapdragon chipset. With Exynos as an option, the company will have better negotiation power compared to the current situation of lack of own chipsets.

Exynos 2400 to perform well

After Exynos 2100, the Exynos 2200 didn’t perform satisfactorily when compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Also, chipsets manufactured at Samsung Foundry reported having low power efficiency and overheating issues, due to which Qualcomm entirely switched to TSMC.

Meanwhile, Samsung has reportedly improved its 4nm process technology, which will deliver great performance and efficiency on chipsets. It’s also said that the Exynos 2400 is getting positive reactions inside and outside, cementing its comeback with S24 next year.

“With the stabilization of Samsung Electronics’ 4-nano foundry process yield, there are positive reactions to the performance of the Exynos 2400 from inside and outside the company,” said an IT industry official.

More RAM, more Storage – Thanks Exynos!

Taking benefit of Exynos SoCs, the South Korean phone maker will equip the Galaxy S24 and S24 with 12GB of RAM and at least 256GB of internal storage. For the Galaxy S24 Ultra, it’s expected that the RAM would be settled at 16GB for all storage variants.

Per the company’s business report, it spent 9,313.8 billion won in 2022 on chipset purchases last year. The expenses increased by 49.9% compared to the cost of purchasing APs in 2021 (KRW 6,211.6 billion), as AP prices rose by 77% in one year.
