Samsung Galaxy A51 5G blesses with April 2023 security patch

Samsung has begun rolling out a new update for the Galaxy A51 5G smartphone, which installs the latest April 2023 security patch to improve system security.

The April 2023 patch for Samsung Galaxy A51 5G can be identified via One UI version number A516BXXS6FWC1. At present, the update is rolling out in select European and Asian countries markets including France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, the Czech Republic, the Nordic region, and the UK.

For your Galaxy device, Samsung has included fixes for 5 critical, 46 high, and one moderate level of CVEs with the April 2023 security patch. Also, the firmware improves the system security and stability of the devices as well as enhances performance to deliver a better Galaxy experience.

The update is rolling out gradually so it may take some days/weeks to reach Galaxy A51 5G models in all markets.

Your Samsung smartphone will notify you to download and install the new update when available. Meanwhile, there’s an easy way to manually force installation by navigating to the device’s Settings, then a Software update, and Download and install.

The Galaxy A51 smartphone came with a  6.5-inch FHD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED infinity display, 48MP rear camera, Exynos 980 SoC with built-in 5G support, 8GB RAM, 4500mAh battery with 15W fast charging, and Android 10 OS.  Now, the device is running Android 13-based One UI 5.1.
