4 reasons to use the Samsung Wallet app on your Galaxy device

Everyone prefers to go cashless and cardless for the sake of security and convenience and it has become the norm for many people today. If you use a Galaxy smartphone, the simple and ever-evolving Samsung Wallet app puts you on the fast track to enjoying life.
Back in the year 2022, the Korean tech giant introduced the Samsung Wallet app that combines Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass functions in a sophisticated interface to store and access digital IDs, payment and loyalty cards, keys, and more.
If you are using a Galaxy smartphone then you should use the Samsung Wallet app instead of any third-party app. Below, you can see four reasons why you should be using a Wallet app.
4 Reasons to Use Samsung Wallet App
Make payment effortlessly
You can add up to 10 payment cards to Samsung Wallet and start paying anywhere that accepts the service or has an NFC contactless payment signal. You need to personalize your quick access tabs with your favorite cards and organize them in your preferred order, prioritizing the cards you use the most.
There are three ways to open Samsung Wallet quickly – swipe the screen, or tap the icon, or double-click the side button. No more fumbling in your pockets and waiting in line at the cash register.

Galaxy Watch gets easier music control with Spotify’s latest update

If you use Spotify and have a Galaxy Watch, there’s some good news for you. Spotify has added a new feature that gives you better music control on your smartwatch.
Spotify now lets you download playlists to your Galaxy Watch directly from your phone or tablet. This means you don’t have to open the Spotify app on your watch or use its small screen to get music.
Users of the Galaxy Watch can now download playlists directly to any of their logged-in devices, including smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches. But make sure you’re signed in to the same Spotify Premium account on both your phone and watch.
To use this feature, open the Spotify app on your phone, find a playlist you like, tap the three dots next to it, and choose ‘Download to other devices.’ From the list of devices, tap the download icon next to your Galaxy Watch. The music will start downloading to your watch for offline listening.

It is worth noting that your watch doesn’t even need to be near your phone when you do this. It works remotely. This feature is also available on iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches, not just Galaxy devices.
This new feature was tested on the Galaxy S23 Ultra with One UI 7 and a Galaxy Watch 4 running Wear OS 5. On these devices, this Spotify feature worked smoothly
Aside from this, Spotify has added a ‘Manage Downloads’ option. This shows you which devices have downloaded a playlist. Since Spotify Premium allows downloads on only five devices, this tool helps you stay organized.
If you have a Galaxy Watcha and use Spotify Premium, you can try out this new feature.

Samsung boosts device security with Knox Matrix version 1.1.01.79

Samsung has released a new update for its Knox Matrix app with version 1.1.01.79. This update adds new features to help users keep their devices more secure.
The fresh update brings the ability to check the security status of all your Samsung devices that are connected to your Samsung account. With the One UI 7 update, you can now see if any of your devices have security issues and fix them quickly.
The app uses a secure private blockchain, so each device can check the security of other connected devices. This helps create a strong and smart network of protection.
The update also brings Enhanced Data Protection, which now includes something called post-quantum cryptography (PQC). This is a new type of encryption that is designed to protect your data even in the future. This means your information is even safer.

Notably, you can now unlock your protected data using your regular screen lock, like a fingerprint or PIN. So it stays secure, but is still easy to access when you need it.
Through this update, Samsung aims to make all your connected devices more secure and easier to manage. Samsung Knox Matrix 1.1.01.79 update is available now, and it’s definitely worth checking out if you want better control over the security of your devices.
You can download the update via Galaxy Store >> Menu option >> Updates. If the update is available, install it now to make your device more secure.

Not only Samsung and Apple, but Pixel phones will also get a camera app redesign

Recently, Samsung and Apple brought revamped designs to their camera apps with new software. Now, Google is getting ready to give the Pixel Camera app a fresh new look to match the new Material 3 Expressive design. We now have an early look at some of the changes coming with the Pixel Camera app, thanks to the Android Authority.
A recent Pixel Camera app teardown shows that the settings menu is being redesigned. This redesign is based on Google’s new Material 3 Expressive design style. It isn’t available to everyone yet, but it was found in version 9.9.106.767010485.16 of the Pixel Camera app.
The updated settings menu looks much cleaner and easier to use. Each group of settings is placed in soft white boxes with rounded corners. Thin lines help separate each section to make it easier to find what you need.
In addition, the toggle switches now show a checkmark when something is turned on, or an “x” when it’s off. This makes it quicker to see what’s active without guessing.
Along with the new look, Google has also removed the “Social Share” shortcut from the camera app. It’s not clear if this is a permanent change or just a test, but it shows that Google is making small changes to how the app works as well.
Through this, Google aims to make all its apps look and feel the same. Even though Android 16 has just launched, Google has already started updating apps like Gmail, Google Meet, the Phone app, and now Pixel Camera to match the new design style.

Samsung pushes SmartThings to next level with Now Bar support, new Home Life and SmartTag tools

Samsung has rolled out a major update to its SmartThings app with version 1.8.33.25, and it’s one of the biggest updates we’ve seen in a while. If you use SmartThings to control your smart home devices, this update is worth checking out.
This SmartThings update brings new features, easier controls, and even a surprise addition that wasn’t mentioned in the official update notes. Thanks to tipster @Theordysm for spotting new changes and features. You can check them below.
What’s New in the Samsung SmartThings 1.8.33.25
The new update introduces several helpful features to make smart home management easier and more personal.
Home Life
A new section, Home Life, has been added to SmartThings. It starts with a short survey that asks about your home setup, like how many people live with you, whether you have pets or children, and what your hobbies are.
Based on your answers, SmartThings will show Insight Messages that suggest useful features or tips to improve your smart home experience. It can be easily accessed through the Home page or in the Home Life menu within the menu tab.
Share SmartTag Location through Link
If you use a Galaxy SmartTag, you can now share its location with someone using a temporary link. The link can stay active for 12 hours, 24 hours, or one week. It is worth noting that the recipient must sign in with a Samsung account.
Advanced Routines
Routines are now more flexible on SmartThins. You can add time delays between actions in a routine, and you can also set a confirmation alert before a routine starts. This makes routines feel more customized and in your control.
Easier Navigation of SmartThings from Map View
The Map View has become more user-friendly with the SmartThings update. You can now choose to open the app directly to the Map View, and switching between Map View and the Home tab is now much easier.
Now Bar Integration
The new update of the SmartThings app now adds Now Bar and Live Notification support. It means that you can now see the SmartThings option in addition to other Now Bar-supported apps and features. You can turn this on in your phone’s settings under Lock screen and AOD >> Now Bar.
This update is rolling out gradually to Galaxy device users. If you haven’t seen it yet on the Galaxy Store or Google Play Store, don’t worry, it should be available on your device soon.

Google removes social share in Pixel Camera 9.9 – Here’s what’s new instead

Google has started rolling out the Pixel Camera 9.9 update with the June 2025 Feature Drop. This update brings a few changes, but one popular feature, Social Share, is now missing.
However, with this new update, Social Share is gone with Pixel Camera 9.9. The option has been removed from the Camera settings, and Google hasn’t said why. It doesn’t seem like a bug, but it looks like the company removed it.
The fresh Pixel Camera update also mentions a new “education hub,” but this feature hasn’t gone live yet. It’s expected to be turned on later through a server-side update.
There’s also a new question mark button in the camera viewfinder. You’ll now see this icon in the top-right corner no matter which camera mode you’re using. When you tap it, you’ll see tips and real examples for features like Add Me, Panorama, Astro, Night Sight, and Macro Focus.
Each tip shows real photos taken with that mode, along with the name of the photographer. There’s also a “How to” section with easy instructions on using each feature. You can tap “Open Camera” to go back to taking photos.
The Pixel Camera 9.9 update is rolling out gradually through the Play Store, so it may take time to reach all users. If you are using a Pixel smartphone, check the update now and install it to enjoy enhanced features.
