Samsung brings huge new update to Galaxy Z Fold4 users in India

Samsung announced plenty of improvements and important camera-related optimizations for the Galaxy S23 series smartphone users. However, Samsung is now sharing the April 2023 firmware update with Galaxy Z Fold4 users in India, which packs plenty of stuff that is not limited to camera improvements.

According to the info, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 started getting April 2023 update in India. The firmware brings improvements to camera function along with some new/enhanced features. Let’s have a quick look at what’s new in the latest Z Fold4 update.

Camera

The Z Fold4 smartphone reportedly added a high bit rate video mode feature as well as the ability to let users access Pro mode in the front camera and any rear lens. AstroHyperlapse, which allows you to capture Star Trails also been added to the native camera application.

Apart from this, users noticed improvements in HDR videos, edge detection, and stabilization. You can also access the Expert RAW app’s Astrophoto feature to take benefit of Pixel-like Astrophotography shots, gathering stars in a mobile-generated image.

Gallery

Image Clipper feature, which promised to arrive on Galaxy S22 and S21 series impressively debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold4. You can also Remaster GIF files through the conventional method and the Portrait Blur functionality has also been enhanced.

Samsung users who have upgraded their device to April 2023 software noticed that system animations improved further, providing a more natural feel. In addition, the color palette integration has been applied back on the volume slider, which was accidentally ditched with One UI 5.1.

Last but not least, the April patch includes fixes for several CVE items including 5 Critical, 46 High, and 1 Moderate. It’s worth mentioning that Google found 4 more vulnerabilities, which are not applicable to Samsung Galaxy devices. Check update release screenshot below:
