Major April 2023 camera update of Samsung Galaxy S23 live in South Africa
Samsung Galaxy S23 series users are already enjoying the new camera and gallery features in Europe, South Korea, India, and Indonesia. Now, Samsung is making April 2023 security patch with a major camera update for Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones in Africa.
The new update for Galaxy S23 installs April 2023 security patch to fix several vulnerability exposures including but not limited to 5 Critical, 46 High, and 1 Moderate. Notably, Google found 4 more vulnerabilities, which are not applicable to Samsung Galaxy devices.
Along with the security patch, the latest update brings new features and improvements to the stock camera app of Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones to provide a next-level experience.
As per the information, Samsung’s April 2023 camera update can be verified via One UI version numbers S911BXXU1AWC8, S9116BXXU1AWC8, and S9118BXXU1AWC8 for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, respectively, in Africa.

WHAT’S NEW IN THE CAMERA
For faster photo capturing, the AF concept has been changed so that when the user presses the shooting button, the user can take a photo even when the focus is not fully set. If you shoot after setting the focus, you have to change some settings for that open the Camera Assistant module of the Good Lock app, and then enable the option to prioritize focus over motion.
Going forward, you may now notice improved sharpness/flicker when shooting ultrawide in low light indoors after setting Super Steady On.
Samsung also fixes the appearance of the green line that emerges on the left-center when the rear camera is shooting in photo mode, improving image stabilization and intermittent blurring.
Furthermore, the latest version fixes the malfunction when shooting after a Scene Optimizer is off in low light. For that, you just need to open Camera Assistant >> Shooting Speed >> High Resolution >> Speed Priority >> Camera > Night Off or Scene Optimizer Off.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is eligible for new software update until February 2028. Within its five-year software update lifespan, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will receive a number of new security patches, and feature drops as well as a total of 4 Android upgrades by Samsung.
