Carrier unlocked Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold4 start getting April 2023 security update

Samsung has kicked off a new update with April 2023 security patch for Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 smartphones after the Galaxy S23 series. The new update installs the latest Android patch to improve system security and stability.

The latest firmware for these foldable smartphones is currently rolling out on the T-Mobile network carrier in the US. It is worth mentioning the update is available only for carrier-unlocked devices.

April 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 can identify through the One UI build versions F936U1UES2CWC9 and F721U1UES2CWC9 respectively.

According to the official details, the April 2023 patch fixes a bunch of common vulnerability exposures including but not limited to 5 Critical, 46 High, and 1 Moderate. Notably, Google found 4 more vulnerabilities, which are not applicable to Samsung Galaxy devices.

The latest rollout is based on One UI 5.1, which means if you have installed the major  One UI version on Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 then you will get a notification of this new update.

The update is initially rolling out in the US and more countries will receive this update in a few days or weeks. The installation package size of the latest update is over 300 megabytes, you can download and install it by following a few steps.

Open your device Settings, press on the Software Update option, and then click on the Download and install option. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest update.
