Samsung is expected to unveil new flagship tablets along with next-gen foldable phones in August 2023. Ahead of the official debut, tipster Onleak (via wolfoftablet.com) shared a handful of official-like renders, which show the signature Samsung design of the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus.

Following the Samsung 2023 signature design, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus renders display the S23-like appearance on the rear panel with the circular, rounded cameras presented vertically. The overall build quality unquestionably looks premium and enough to give tough competition to iPad models.

Apart from the camera rings, the tablet is equipped with a magnetic area on the back, in order to let the S Pen stylus place conveniently whenever you are not using it. Moreover, a secondary sensor is integrated when the tablet is handled within landscape mode.

Notably, the rendering doesn’t display antenna lines, but it doesn’t mean there won’t be any. Other than this, the tablet continues the design introduced by its predecessor last year. And the Korean tech giant is offering the same design language with all products coming in 2023.

Talking about specs, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus may come with a 12.4-inch sAMOLED display with 1752×2800 pixels resolution and ~266 ppi. As part of enhancing durability and bringing water resistance, Samsung is not providing the 3.5mm headphone jake to the upcoming tablet.

It is anticipated that the Tab S9 Plus will maintain its high productivity status with the inclusion of an under-display optical fingerprint sensor and Wireless Samsung DeX support. The USB Type-C 3.2 is expected to remain on the device, and it will also support 45W wired charging.

Although the details of the sensor are not yet confirmed, it is speculated that it could function as a secondary selfie camera for video calls or when the tablet is being used in landscape mode. This feature is particularly useful for individuals working from home who prefer to use a tablet as a laptop replacement.
