Samsung takes Galaxy S23 series‘ big April 2023 camera software update to Europe, days after initial release. The latest SW is available in several markets in the Europe region, bringing the latest April Android patches, and important camera bug fixes.

According to the info, Samsung’s April 2023 camera update can be identified via PDA version numbers: S911BXXU1AWC8, S916BXXU1AWC8, and S918BXXU1AWC8 for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, respectively, in Europe.
The hefty ~1GB firmware brings enhanced camera performance along with several bug fixes. In addition to the camera, the release also aims to fix the last remaining Exynos modem-related security flaw, which Samsung promised a couple of days ago.
Since the changelog lacks the entire content, the Samsung community mod earlier revealed the details. As per the data, the new software changes the autofocus concept to make photo capturing even faster. The photo will capture as soon as the user hits the shutter button even when the focus is not completely set.
Due to AI Moon controversy, Samsung decided to add notices in certain camera features. The first comes to ultrawide mode, when you shoot using night mode and super steady ON, you will get a notice saying, “To take a good Super Steady photo, I need more light.”
The software also fixes the green line problem, which appears on the display while clicking photos from the rear main camera. Besides, it enhances OIS (image stabilization) when shooting with FHD settings at 60fps after setting Auto FPS Off in the rear video.
Samsung’s latest software brings a new feature to the stock Gallery app, which lets users delete the recently captured photo even before it gets processed. If you find any kind of fault in the picture, the new “instant photo delete” tool allows you to immediately vanish the shot from the gallery.
A line-shaped banding noise appeared in a handful of user shots while captured in Nightography, the update also improves the function. The overall sharpness is also optimized during high-res shooting, and irregular blurring was improved through OIS stabilization.
The list of improvements also includes fixes for the issue when shooting after Night Off in low light after altering the shooting speed via Camera Assistant. However, you need to follow these steps: Camera Assistant > Shooting Speed > High Resolution > Speed Priority, then Camera > Night Off or Scene Optimizer Off.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series are getting the October 2024 security update in the US through One UI builds given below.

- Galaxy S23 Ultra – S918USQS4CXI4
The fresh update brings fixes for some issues that users encountered in previous versions to make your Galaxy S23 more stable and secure. The installation package size of this update is around 400MB.
