On March 6, Samsung released the March 2023 Android plus One UI patch details for Galaxy devices and the updates started to roll out on the 7th. Within February, Samsung updated most of the Galaxy devices with One UI 5.1 and February 2023 security patch.

One UI 5.1

On March 15, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 smartphones. These devices use Exynos 1380/MediaTek processor and run the S23-like Android 13-based One UI 5.1 out of the box. As expected, these devices are set to hit market shelves later this month in Southeast Asia and Europe.

Samsung expands July 2025 security update to Galaxy A56, A15, and more

Samsung has now started rolling out the latest security patch to Galaxy A series devices. At the moment, Samsung Galaxy A56, Galaxy A15 5G, and Galaxy A04 smartphones are getting the July 2025 security update.
The company is releasing the latest software update with system security improvements to keep your files and data safe on your phone. It also optimizes system stability to offer you uninterrupted and seamless functionality on your device.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy A56, Galaxy A15 4G, and Galaxy A04 4G can verify the July 2025 update via One UI build versions given below.

According to the official notes, the update fixes 1 critical and 21 high-level security issues found in Android. It also includes 17 additional fixes from Samsung (SVE items) to improve privacy and security on Galaxy devices.
This update focuses on fixing problems related to Knox security, the Galaxy Watch system interface, Samsung Account, Wi-Fi passwords, Bluetooth, Emergency SOS, and more. These fixes make your phone more secure and improve how it works.
Right now, the July 2025 security update is being rolled out to a few Galaxy phones. The international Galaxy A56 models are receiving this update while the Galaxy A04 4G is getting it in some Asian countries. The Galaxy A15 4G is also included in the rollout, starting in Brazil.

After the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S25 series, Samsung is now rolling out the July 2025 security update to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.

Samsung has just revealed the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. Right after completing its biggest reveal, the company has started deploying the latest software updates. Last year’s foldable lineup is starting to get the latest security improvements.
July 2025 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 is available in South Korea. The new firmware brings July security patches, which bring system security improvements and address Android + One UI vulnerabilities.

Galaxy Buds 3 Series
Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro are also getting a new firmware update. The new release weighs around 8 megabytes and is available in South Korea.
Owners of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro earbuds can identify the update via the PDA build version that ends with AYG2. Users can expect better functional operations and a smoother pairing experience post-installation.

Galaxy S25 Non-One UI 8 Beta models getting July 2025 security update

Following the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung has begun releasing the July 2025 security update, and Galaxy S25 series users are receiving it. This update is currently live for Galaxy S25 users who are not testing One UI 8 Beta, as the update is based on One UI 7.
The fresh update improves the system security and stability by fixing a bunch of issues. It mainly enhances functions related to Knox security, Galaxy Watch system interface, Samsung Account, Wi-Fi passwords, Bluetooth, Emergency SOS, and more.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra can verify the July 2025 security update with One UI builds S931NKSS5AYF6, S936NKSS5AYF6, and S938NKSS5AYF6, respectively. They will have to download around 550MB package to install the update.
Notably, the update is currently available for users in Korea and will expand to more countries in the coming days. It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours to days to reach all models.
Users who are still on One UI 7 can install the latest update via Settings > Software Update >> Download and install. If you are testing One UI 8 beta on your Galaxy S25 smartphone, you will have to wait longer for this update.
One UI 8 stable debuted with the latest Galaxy foldable phones. Now, it is expected that the company will soon start the One UI 8 rollout for Galaxy devices. It means Galaxy S25 series users will soon receive a stable update. However, Samsung hasn’t revealed any exact timeline for release.

Samsung has started pushing the One UI 7-based July 2025 security update for Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones. The update is currently rolling out for users in Korea, and the company will soon expand it to more countries.
The July 2025 security update for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series enhances system security and stability, providing a better Galaxy experience. Users can identify the latest update through the One UI builds given below.

The installation package size of this update is around 300MB. Users can download this update through Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Samsung just released One UI 8 with the latest Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE smartphones. However, the Galaxy S25 series users are still testing the One UI 8 feature through the beta update.
Even after the official release, Samsung hasn’t released the One UI 8 Roadmap for older Galaxy devices. It is expected that Samsung might soon start or release official details about the One UI 8 rollout. The Galaxy S24 series will soon receive this update.

Samsung releases latest July 2025 security patch for Galaxy S24 FE

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE starts receiving the July 2025 security patch. A new firmware is rolling out in South Korea, which installs the latest security patch. The update will be expanded to Global markets over the next few days.
Galaxy S24 FE 5G’s July 2025 security patch can be identified via PDA build version S721NKSS5BYF1. It’s a regular firmware update, which aims to improve system security and functional reliability.
Earlier, Samsung disclosed that its July patch addresses 1 critical and 21 high-level common vulnerability exposures. Additionally, it has one patch from Samsung Semiconductor and 17 SVE items for One UI.
Users may experience better performance after the installation. The software may have also included new app versions for some stock titles, which will also be updated along with the smartphone’s software system.
You can check for updates via Settings > Software update > Download and install. If the new OTA is available, download it first and hit the install button. Your phone will restart and take a while to optimise One UI and the entire app set.
Samsung will gradually roll out the July 2025 security patch to eligible Galaxy devices over the next couple of weeks.
