Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3, Galaxy Z Fold3, and Galaxy Z Fold2 users start receiving the March 2023 security update on Verizon in the US. The update is rolling out for carrier-locked variants of these smartphones.

Notably, the March 2023 update for Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold4 has already been pushed in Europe and some US mobile network carriers including T-Mobile and Metro PCS. The company will soon make this update available for all models.

March 2023 security patch fixes a bunch of vulnerabilities in Android and Samsung. There are a number of common vulnerability exposures listed in the document that falls into different ranges including:

  • Moderate – 0
  • Already fixed – 4
  • Not applicable – 5

Aside from this, the March 2023 patch also includes 23 One UI patches which Samsung calls SVE (Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures). Together with Android and One UI patches, the latest software update provides the best security and privacy on Galaxy devices.

How to update?

To install the latest update, you just need to go to the Settings of your phone and enter its Software update section. Simply tap on the Download and install option and the available update will appear on the screen. Follow the on-screen prompts and you are done!
