Recently, a tipster revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 brings a 3.4-inch cover screen. Now, the source shared a possible aspect ratio, which solidifies the rumor of a squarish cover display’s arrival on the next Flip.

According to IceUniverse, the cover screen scale (screen-to-body ratio) of the Z Flip5 is 1:1:038, which indicates a square display panel. To be mentioned, Oppo’s flip phone has a rectangular display outside, bigger than the Flip 4.

Earlier, the same tipster shared an image render of the Galaxy Z Flip5, showing off the possible cover display panel. However, we believe that the company may not bring camera sensors inside the cover screen of the smartphone.

We might see a new camera arrangement or design on Samsung’s next clamshell foldable smartphone. The official launch is expected for August 2023, so naturally, we have to wait sometime to see what’s coming next.

Galaxy Z Flip5 Expected Specs

It was reported that the Galaxy Z Flip5 would have narrower bezels inside (when unfolded), which can be considered another big upgrade. The device may feature Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 2 processor, manufactured by TSMC.

However, the South Korean tech giant may continue using the booming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which debuted with the Galaxy S23 series in its next-gen foldable phones – Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5.

The devices may come pre-installed with Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 software out of the box along with support for major upgrades up to Android 17 and security patches until late 2028.
