The company prepared an exhibition hall of about 489㎡ to display high-efficiency cooling and heating systems such as ‘EHS Mono R290’ and ‘EHS Mono HT Quiet’, and heat pump ‘EHS’.
Samsung’s new Eco Heating System is an air conditioning system that replaces the existing boiler, and it is possible to supply hot water as well as cooling and heating, generating less carbon dioxide compared to boilers.

EHS Mono R290, which is being unveiled for the first time, is characterized by applying R290, a natural refrigerant, for the first time among Samsung EHS products.
R290 natural refrigerant has an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0 and a global warming potential (GWP) of 3, making it much more environmentally friendly than the existing R32 refrigerant.
- R32 refrigerant has an ozone depletion potential of 0 and a global warming potential of 675 (based on IPCC 4th, 2007), GWP: Global Warming Potential
Moreover, it has significantly improved energy efficiency (Seasonal Coefficient of Performance, SCOP) over existing products, and has strong performance such as being able to supply high-temperature water of up to 75℃ for heating.
- Compared with existing R32 MONO (AE***RXYD*G/EU) products
The company has also unveiled EHS Mono HT Quiet products with low-noise technology. It operates at a minimum level of 35dB(A) and has obtained the ‘Quiet Mark’ certification, and realizes 100% heating performance.
- This is the company’s test value, which may vary depending on the actual environment
- Experiment model (outdoor unit): AE120BXYDGG
- Outdoor DB -25℃, Leaving Water 55℃ conditions
The Korean tech giant will also exhibit its ‘SmartThings Energy’ service, which is more effective when used with EHS products. SmartThings Energy can manage the energy used in the house and offers suggestions to save energy in the house by linking with EHS as well as Samsung home appliances.
Choi Young-joon, executive director of Samsung Electronics’ home appliance division said:
“We will continue to strengthen our penetration into the European heating and cooling market with EHS products that use eco-friendly, high-efficiency refrigerants, including the differentiated products introduced at the ISH 2023 air conditioning and air conditioning exhibition.”

Your Samsung Galaxy could get Gemini AI button on lock screen!
Google is putting much effort into Gemini Assistant. The company has already replaced Google Assistant with Gemini. Now, Google apparently working to slap a Gemini AI button right on your Samsung Galaxy phone’s lock screen.
AndroidAuthority discovered Google’s experiment to bring the Gemini AI button to Samsung Galaxy’s lock screen. It’s going to be an Android feature, which Samsung won’t miss out on bringing to Galaxy smartphones.
Android lets you trigger Gemini in many ways. You can swipe up from the home screen’s bottom, press and hold the home button, or hold the power key. A dedicated AI button on the lock screen would make things a lot easier for consumers.
The QPR1 Beta 2 of Android 15 has a flag, which could unlock the AI button on the lock screen. Mishaal managed to enable the button on the Pixel smartphone, placed right below the fingerprint sensing area on the lock screen.
Although the button appeared on the lock screen, it doesn’t function at all. It’s a pill-shaped toggle, which is slightly larger than the two lock screen shortcuts. The button also has the AI sparkle icon in the middle, which looks classy.
Android 15 is about to begin rolling out on Pixel smartphones. Google is also running the QPR Beta Program on various Pixel models. The Gemini AI button could be a part of the company’s preparations for the Android 16 operating system.

Samsung recently updated its software support plan for October 2024, and it has noted that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G will no longer receive any updates. This popular foldable smartphone has been removed from the list of eligible devices for One UI updates and security patches because it has completed its update cycle.
