Samsung, not going back on history, this time launched the Galaxy S23 series globally with a Snapdragon chip, and that too exclusive ‘Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy‘. The phone’s performance was praised by users and now, it’s reported that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 will get even better performance with the ‘Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy’ chip.
Tipster @RGcloudS reported that Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is just the beginning, Qualcomm is working on its successor that will get a massive performance boost, especially the Samsung-exclusive Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy mobile platform.
The tipster further indicates that the Galaxy S24 series smartphones that use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor will help Samsung to outperform Apple iPhone 15 series’ A17 Bionic chipset frequency, at least on paper.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3:
The report suggests that the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will feature a single high-performance Cortex-X4 core that will be clocked at 3.7GHz.
If that’s true, the chipset will get a 15% performance boost compared to the 3.2GHz clock speed of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Also, it will be much faster than Galaxy S23 specialized Snapdragon chip featuring a 3.36GHz clock speed.
At the same time, the new Qualcomm processor could also come with four additional performance cores and three efficiency cores to ensure optimum performance for all sorts of use cases, similar to the predecessor.
Snapdragon gen 3 is indeed strong
Bigger jump compared to last gen
Apparently the main contributor was arm itself, especially X4 & 1,4,3 config
i think it's almost confirmed that gen3 for galaxy will beat bionic 17 frequency
up to 3.7+ghz for mobile

This collaboration will continue next year and the Galaxy S24 series will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 globally, except in Korea. The Galaxy S23 phones are the fastest Android phones but the Galaxy S24 is also likely to beat Apple’s chipset to become the world’s fastest device.
