One UI 5.1 update rolled out to Samsung Galaxy Note 20 users last month, starting with South Africa. Currently, Galaxy Note 20 users in several countries are enjoying the new feature while many are still waiting for the update. Finally, the wait is over for Indian users as the company has pushed the One UI 5.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 in India.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones are getting One UI 5.1 update in India with One UI build versions N980BXXU5HWAC and N986BXXU5HWAC respectively.

One UI 5.1 update for Galaxy Note 20 brings a bunch of new features as well as multiple improvements to enhance the users’ experience. Meanwhile, it also includes the latest February 2023 Android security patch to enhance system security and stability.

It added easy access to the Expert RAW app on Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone so you can easily control it directly from the Camera modes. For the front camera, the company also provides you the ability to easily change color tone while taking selfies.

Furthermore, Samsung is improving multi-tasking on your Galaxy phone as it delivers additional functionalities to both pop-up and split-screen views. The Gallery app is also getting various notable changes such as you can now extract text from videos, getting more convenient information displays, and creating quality GIFs using the GIF Remaster feature.

Also, One UI 5.1 offers a new Battery widget that shows you the battery status of your phone and other connected devices on the main screen itself. Whereas, the intuitive Weather widget provides a summary of the current weather condition.

Not only this, the company also brings changes to the Contacts widget, animation, smart suggestion widget, Bixby Text Call, Samsung Internet, AR Zone, Wallpaper section, Color Palette, Edge Panel, and other One UI services.

How to update

Samsung consumers can check new software updates manually with a handful of simple steps. Firstly, visit your Galaxy device’s “System Settings,” once done, scroll down and tap the “Software update” tab, followed by the “Download and install” button.
