Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is as fast as Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max (Speed Test)

The latest Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is setting new standards of performance in the Android segment. Compared to the S22 series, the latest Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has major performance improvements and it performed as fast as Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max in a recent speed test.

Samsung and Qualcomm closely worked to bring Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset to the Galaxy S23 series worldwide. As result, consumers and tech experts are just amazed to see the performance and power efficiency which is record-breaking in the Android world.

So far, Apple’s iPhone models remain too away when compared to Android phones including Samsung. However, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is finally giving tough competition to Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Max and delivering nearly similar quickness in the speed test.

Tech YouTube channel PhoneBuff compared the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max in the speed test. The video showcases the opening of plenty of apps and games to see performance and use them across two rounds to check their RAM management.

Speed Test:

PhoneBuff’s speed test video revealed that Samsung’s latest Galaxy S23 Ultra defeated the Apple iPhone 14 Pro max in the first round with 2 seconds margin. Apple’s latest flagship iPhone managed to showcase better performance but the competition eventually tied.

No doubt, Samsung made significant improvements in performance using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset in its latest flagships. Compared to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which has a less power-efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is too away, reason – TSMC foundry.

Regarding comparison, the Galaxy S23 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max both are powered by TSMC-made 4nm processors. The S23 Ultra brings 12GB LPPDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max features 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and NVMe storage.
