Carrier-unlocked Samsung Galaxy S23 getting February 2023 firmware

Samsung Galaxy S23 series started receiving the monthly security patch after its launch in early February 2023. The month is just about to end and the company has now started rolling out the February 2023 update for carrier unlocked Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones in the US.

According to the changelog, the update improves system security, stability, and performance of the devices by installing the latest patch. Meanwhile, Samsung has addressed a handful of issues and vulnerabilities with the latest security patch release.

February 2023 security update for carrier-unlocked Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra can be identified via versions S911U1UEU1AWBE, S916U1UEU1AWBE, and S918U1UEU1AWBE respectively.

Samsung’s February 2023 security update brings fixes for a bundle of issues, including 47 fixes related to Google’s Android security bulletin, which was found to be causing harm to third-party apps and services.

While 7 are Galaxy-specific SVEs that were causing harm to users’ privacy through various One UI apps and services, such as Phone, Contacts, Fingerprint scanners, and others. The update also upgrades some functions to deliver an error-free and seamless user experience.
