Samsung Galaxy A73 getting One UI 5.1 update with Maintenance mode
Samsung has begun sending One UI 5.1 update with the February 2023 security patch for Galaxy A73 users. The major One UI version brings a bunch of new features and improvements to provide a seamless and next-level user experience without any lagging or freezing errors.
You can identify the One UI 5.1 update for Galaxy A73 via One UI build version A736BXXU3CWB7. The update is currently rolling out in Malaysia and the company will soon expand it to more countries.

One UI 5.1 update for Samsung Galaxy A73 offers several new features like a Battery widget, enhanced smart suggestion widget, Dynamic Weather Widget, GIF remaster, selfie camera color tone option, smoother animation, and more.
As per patch details, the update fixes over 50 vulnerabilities in order to optimize the security of your phone in the patch details. These include 49 CVEs from Google’s Android security bulletin and 7 Galaxy-specific SVEs from Samsung’s One UI software.
Maintenance mode was reported missing in the Samsung Galaxy A73 smartphone with One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13 and the company brings this feature with the One UI 5.1 update.
Maintenance Mode is a feature offered by Samsung, which protects your privacy while someone else is using your phone such as when you’re sending it for repair. Once you enabled this mode, your personal data such as pictures, messages, and accounts can’t be accessed.

How to update
Head towards your Galaxy A73 smartphone’s Settings and tap the Software update tab. Simply, tap the first option entitled “Download and install” so your phone can connect to Samsung’s server to find out a new software update. Follow the on-screen instructions and hit Install now to trigger installation.

Users can now copy and paste objects between images, enjoy improved image clipping, and search within the Gallery app. The video editor allows for playback speed adjustments and project exports for cross-device editing. It also brings new lock screen widgets, customizable alarm alerts with AR Emoji, revamped Calendar app settings section, and more.
Overall the update enhances the Galaxy A14 5G experience with creative editing tools, personalization options, and security enhancements to make it a more versatile and secure device.
To install and install the update, open Settings>> Software Updates >> Download and install.

In addition to South Korea and Germany, Samsung has now launched the Android 14-based One UI 6 Beta in the US. Users of carrier-unlocked or T-Mobile branded Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, or S23 Ultra smartphones can now sign up to get the Beta firmware via OTA.
It’s worth mentioning that the One UI 6 Beta is only available for T-Mobile and carrier-unlocked Galaxy S23 models in the US. This means Verizon, AT&T, US Cellular, and other carrier users have no other option than waiting for the official rollout.
One UI 6 Beta comes with a redesigned Quick Panel, which looks stunning and well-crafted for accessibility. The animations are also tweaked but require further optimization as the current situation of transition effects is not up to the mark.
