Samsung S23 Price India

DXOMARK ranked Galaxy S23 Ultra at 10th, between the Google Pixel 7 and Vivo X90 Pro+ on the same rank. All three smartphones have the same camera performance and deserve 140, according to the camera review firm. Is it true that smartphone praised by DXOMARK is an important factor in camera performance?

Nobody cares about DXO…

At present, DXOMARK lovers have no other option but from purchasing the Huawei Mate 50 Pro as the best camera smartphone with a score of 149. The Google Pixel 7 Pro and Honor Magic4 Ultimate tie for 2nd with a score of 147 points. So that’s it for the top 3 choices.

And here comes the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which doesn’t require a camera certificate from DXO.

Earlier this month, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which looks quite similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra but packs several meaningful improvements, yeah, don’t forget that massive 200MP main camera. It’s not everything, the Nightography feature is epic and 8k video recording at 30fps makes the overall experience stunning.

200MP is not just a result of the megapixel race, this image sensor equips next-gen technologies to offer the best camera performance in the industry. Nighttime photography is another great feature of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is not praised by DXO, well, who cares?

Apple’s latest iPhone 14 Pro got defeated by the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which surpassed the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Apple’s flagship still leads the videography, but the most used photography segment is the best in the industry on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

DXOMARK often avoids the capabilities of Samsung’s Galaxy S smartphones. Fans even witnessed unexpected score card for Samsung flagships such as the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Believing DXOMARK ranking for a while, is it true that the vanilla Pixel 7 performs the same as S23 Ultra?

Vivo’s X90 Pro Plus is a tough competitor to the S23 Ultra in camera and photography. However, the smartphone is ranked 10th, below the Pixel 7 and S23 Ultra, which also raises confusion about the review firm’s testing standards.

Judging from the DXOMARK chart, there are 10 smartphones available globally that are better than the Galaxy S23 Ultra in camera. The device list includes (from 1 to 10):

  1. Huawei Mate 50 Pro
  2. Google Pixel 7 Pro
  3. Honor Magic4 Ultimate
  4. Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max
  5. Apple iPhone 14 Pro
  6. Huawei P50 Pro
  7. Apple iPhone 13 Pro
  8. Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max
  9. Xiaomi 11 Ultra
  10. Google Pixel 7

Notably, Xiaomi 12S Ultra is 15th on the chart, which is praised by several well-known tech reviewers. Do note that the top executive of Xiaomi reportedly said that we don’t send review units to DXOMARK, due to points selling controversy.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra’s space zoom camera even amazed the world’s richest person Elon Musk. There are several phones that can capture the Moon, but the capability of the S23 Ultra is unbeatable, at least in 2023.

Samsung recently updated its software support plan for October 2024, and it has noted that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G will no longer receive any updates. This popular foldable smartphone has been removed from the list of eligible devices for One UI updates and security patches because it has completed its update cycle.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 was launched in 2020, initially coming with Android 10. It has since received updates, including the Android 13 update with One UI 5.1.1. After that, it is not eligible for any more major Android OS updates. Now, Samsung has also ended its software support, which means it will not receive any new security updates.

Even though the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G will not receive further updates from Samsung, it is still a secure and functional device for everyday use. The phone operates on Android 13, which supports all major apps, including those for banking, so users can continue to perform their daily tasks without issues.
