US carrier-unlocked Samsung Galaxy S22 grabs One UI 5.1 update

Samsung has finally started rolling out the massive One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra customers driving the carrier-unlocked models in the US.

It’s worth mentioning that the update is already available for Europe, Asia, and the carrier-locked versions in the US. Meanwhile, if you are using the carrier-unlocked model, you can identify the update through the following One UI build versions:

What’s new:

Samsung brought a handful of new features and improvements to the Galaxy S22 phones with the One UI 5.1 update. Although the user interface is almost the same as the One UI 5.0 software.

As per the new information, the new One UI software brings a bunch of Gallery app features including a common family album, more powerful searches, a convenient information display, and improved handling.

It further adds quick access to the Expert RAW app on the default Samsung Camera. In addition, the company makes it easy to change the color tone of selfies through the Effects button on the side of the screen.

Samsung widgets section is meeting significant changes. It gets a new Battery widget that shows the battery status of your phone and connected Bluetooth devices. Whereas, the intuitive weather widget provides a summary of the current weather condition.

In addition to these, the company also brings the Bixby Text Call feature in the English language for internal users. One the other hand, the lock screen of your phone, Modes and Routines, Color Palette, Samsung Dex, multitasking, and other One UI apps and services are also getting notable changes.

Last but not least, the fresh software update also installs the most up-to-date February 2023 Android security patch to further enhance the system security and users’ privacy.
