Samsung has started to roll out the February 2023 software update for the Bluetooth version of its latest Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro devices, which is likely to fix the damaged raise to wake gesture of the wearables.

However, the official changelog nowhere mentions that the update resolves any issue of the smartwatches. It only states to improve the security and stability of the devices so that users can get uninterrupted functionality over their wearables.

Are you experiencing problems with Raise to wake gesture?

Last month, Samsung started releasing a big software update for Galaxy Watch 5 that installed new Self diagnose and One UI 5.1 Camera controller zoon features to the devices.

However, after installing the update, various users have started complaining about the irregular behavior of the raise to wake feature of their watches. Every time, customers lift their wrist to wake up the watch, the screen turns off almost immediately, leaving users unable to see the time properly. Are you also encountering such a problem on your Watch 5 or Watch 4?

New update version:

Samsung is releasing the February 2023 update for Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy 5 Pro with One UI built version ending with AWB1. It carries an update package size of 100.93MB.

Interested consumers can download this update through the Galaxy wearable app on a connected Android phone and navigate to Watch settings >> Watch software update >> Download and install.
