Samsung launched Galaxy S23 smartphones with One UI 5.1 earlier this month. Now, the company is releasing the first software update for Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra devices.
The new update installs January 2023 security patch to improve system security and stability to provide better performance. Notably, this is the first update based on the newest version of Samsung’s custom skin One UI i.e. One UI 5.1.
The update is currently rolling out for locked Galaxy S23 smartphones on the Verizon Mobile network in the US. The company will soon expand this update to all Galaxy S23 device users.
January 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones come with S911USQU1AWA6, S916USQU1AWA6, and S918USQU1AWA6 respectively.
To install the latest update on your new Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone, open Settings >> tap on Software Updates >> click on Download and install >> follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.

Samsung is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy F41 smartphone, which installs a November 2023 security patch to improve system security and stability. This update is currently live in Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Guatemala.
