Galaxy S20 joins Samsung devices getting February 2023 security update

Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra join the growing list of Samsung devices getting the latest February 2023 Android security patch update. This update focuses on improving the system’s performance as well as finding common issues and errors.
Recently, Samsung detailed its February 2023 Android security patch that mentions fixes for several vulnerabilities and exposures in a bid to regain customer trust in the One UI’s privacy and security.

These include 48 CVEs which are part of Google’s Android security bulletin. Whereas, 7 of these vulnerability fixes belong to Galaxy devices that were affecting the Phone app, Contacts app, Fingerprint scanner, and other apps and services.
Other than these improvements and fixes, the fresh software update for Galaxy S20 does not install any major changes. However, a big One UI 5.1 update is coming soon to the devices.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 smartphones with the new One UI 5.1 software and now it is the turn of older Galaxy devices to get the update. Currently, the company has not announced when it will start expanding One UI 5.1 to more devices. But since the internal testing is already underway, we expect it to arrive in the next couple of weeks.
Furthermore, Samsung is presently dispatching the Galaxy S20 February 2023 update for customers living in Latin American countries including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, and Uruguay.
