Samsung begins delivering the February 2023 Android security patch update for the LTE version of Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones with a build version ending with GWB1.

It is currently released in Argentina, Bolivia, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, and Uruguay, however, the company should soon expand it.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series starts getting February 2023 security update in Switzerland. It makes the Galaxy Note 20 series the first Android device in the world to grab the most up-to-date security patch.

According to the information, the February 2023 update comes with PDA software versions: N981BXXS5GWB1 and N986BXXS5GWB1 for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, respectively.

Since the update rollout has just begun, the company will expand the availability gradually. Moreover, the details of Samsung’s February patch are yet to be published, which is expected to release by the end of this week.

How to install new firmware:

To download and install a new firmware update on your Samsung device, head toward system Settings. Once done, find the Software update tab, hit the Download and install button and follow the on-screen instructions.

One UI 5.1:

At the Galaxy Unpacked, Samsung showcased the new One UI 5.1 software version as a new Android 13 skin. It’s confirmed that the Galaxy Note 20 series will get the One UI 5.1 features and changes through a firmware update.

It’s expected that the Korean tech giant would offer select Galaxy S23 camera features to older Galaxy devices. However, the One UI 5.1 would be the last major One UI upgrade for the Galaxy Note 20 series.

Samsung Galaxy S21 series is getting a new update with April 2024 security Patch in Korea. The fresh update enhances the system security and adds a new feature of the Samsung Wallet app to provide a smoother performance.

April 2024 update for Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphones in Korea can be identified through One UI build version G991NKSU4FXD3, G996NKSU4FXD3, and G998NKSU4FXD3 respectively.

The latest update includes a new feature within the Samsung Wallet app, which now supports a ‘Mobile ID’ function. This function allows users to add their mobile driver’s licenses and national veterans registration cards to their Samsung Wallet.

These digital IDs are officially issued by the government and can be used just like physical ID cards, both online and offline. However, it is important to note that only IC cards marked with a mobile ID icon are eligible to be added.

In addition to the ‘Mobile ID’ feature, the update also includes the latest Google security patch for the stabilization of security features.
