First of all, the design change. Samsung Galaxy S22 has followed the contour-cut camera design of its predecessor Galaxy S21 but the Galaxy S23 is bringing a completely new rear design. The camera setup is still vertical but the company has removed the module to make it look like the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s rear side.

In addition, Samsung is bringing a new set of colors for the phone that will further enrich the Galaxy S23 design.

Galaxy S23 processor:

Samsung used to introduce two processor variants of its S series phones – Snapdragon and Exynos, as per the countries. This led some users, such as Europeans, to compromise with the low-performance Exynos chip.

Meanwhile, this would not be the case with the Galaxy S23 series as the company is solely introducing Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset throughout the globe. Most notably, the S23’s 8 Gen 2 processor is different from the original variant. It is exclusive to Samsung and has some extra features. Read more …

Galaxy S23 software:

Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone will drive the Android 13-based One UI 5.1 software out of the box and will get the major software updates till Android 17, while the S22 will get updates till Android 16. Also, whenever Samsung plans to implement new features and release beta updates, the S23 will be the first to grab them.

Galaxy S23 camera:

When it comes to the camera specs, these are the same as the S22, such as a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 10MP front camera.

But the company has significantly improved the Nightography so that users will not have to compromise with unclear pictures in the nighttime and low-light area.

Additionally, it will bring the AstroHyperlapse feature which is specially made to capture stars and the moon. There is also a new AI Restoration mode added to the stock Samsung camera.

Galaxy S23 battery:

The S23 phone will feature a 3900mAh battery, which is 200mAh larger than the pS22 model. However, the wired fast charging and wireless charging capabilities are the same – 25W and 10W, respectively.
