Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy S23 has 16 camera modes, AI Restoration is new!
Samsung Galaxy S23 series packs great low-light and nighttime photography capabilities. CEO TM Roh has recently revealed upgraded hardware and software optimization for camera. Well, I can now confirm that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series brings 16 camera modes, including a new “AI Restoration”.
Apart from the new AI Restoration, all the remaining Galaxy S23 series camera modes are available in the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21 and some other Galaxy flagships. However, no one can deny that the next Galaxy S features further advancements for all the existing features.

At present, we don’t have solid information about the functionality of this new AI Restoration camera mode. For this, we need to wait until the South Korean tech giant officially introduces the Galaxy S23 series at Unpacked next month.

Past leaks say that the Galaxy S23 series camera uses AI and machine learning to bring betterment to photography. The AI Restoration could be a new AI-derived feature for enhancing the user experience by restoring different elements of images using artificial intelligence.

Samsung’s Galaxy S23 lineup comes with new One UI 5.1 software version, which is well-optimized with the new hardware of the smartphones. The company recently confirmed that the One UI 5.1 is coming along with a list of eligible Galaxy devices.
Nightography feature, which debuted with Galaxy S22 and expanded to plenty of Galaxies, will also be improved. In addition, the Nightography feature could make its way to Front Camera and Video mode as well. We hope, the new bells and whistles of Galaxy S23 will be expanded to more models with One UI 5.1.
