Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite last year. It is an affordable tablet that equips some of the most advanced internals of its age including a MediaTek Helio P22T processor, 5,100mAh battery with 15W fast charging, 8MP rear, 5MP front camera, Dual Stereo Speakers, Dolby Atmos, and many more.

While considering its software, it runs the Android 11 operating system out of the box. The device hasn’t yet received any major software update but is expected to get an Android 12-based One UI 4 update in the coming weeks.

We are in mid-January 2023 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite device is getting a new update with November 2022 security patch. The update is rolling out in Korea and will be available for all devices soon.

The latest update improves system security and stability by installing the latest Android patch. In addition, some stocks apps including Samsung Notes, Galaxy Shop, Members, Internet, and Calculator upgraded to the latest version after this update.

Users can identify the latest update via One UI build version T220XXU1CVL7, weighs 139.62 MB.

May 20, 2022: May 2022 patch [Europe]

Samsung has begun rolling out the May 2022 Android security patch update for the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite tablets. This update improves the security and stability of your device alongside protecting it from bugs and viruses.

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite May 2022 update also fixes various privacy and security-related issues and exploits including 7 critical, 23 high, and 3 moderate levels of CVEs from Google and Samsung.

The official changelog for the update also mentioned 3 stock app upgrades – Samsung Notes, Samsung Members, and Calculator.

Further, this update comes with One UI build version T225XXU1AVE1. It is accessible in German markets at the moment and will soon reach other users. To download it navigate Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.

Samsung October 2024 security patch details

It’s 8th October 2024 and Samsung has updated the details of the latest security patch for its Galaxy devices on its scope page. It contains CVE and SVE items to improve the security and stability of the device to provide a better and more secure experience.

Samsung has already begun releasing the October 2024 security patch and Galaxy S24 FE is the first smartphone to receive it. The company will add more devices soon to this update list.

October 2024 security update includes patches from both Google and Samsung, addressing various vulnerabilities and exposures in the Android operating system and Samsung’s software.

The Google patches cover up to the Android Security Bulletin – October 2024 package, which contains 2 critical level and 28 high-level CVEs. However, 1 CVE has already resolved by previous updates from the company, and 2 are not relevant to Galaxy devices.

On the flip side, the Samsung patches include 12 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items, which are specific to Samsung’s devices and applications. It fixes issues related to system service, Knox services, and more.

Not only this, Samsung Semiconductor also adds a fix for 1 high-level CVE to enhance the performance.
