Samsung RegiStar January 2023 update brings advancements for back-tap feature

Samsung Good Lock RegiStar app is getting January 2023 update via Galaxy Store for Galaxy devices. The new update comes with build version 1.0.29, which brings a new menu and fixes to enhance the overall performance.

The latest update adds a new menu called Gates inside the back tap action. This new Gates menu has been added to control the action of the back tap under certain conditions so that users can maintain the battery power of their smartphone as per their convenience.

Some limits have been given to pause the back tap function in the Gates menu, which once enabled are automatically applied depending on the conditions. There are two limits to pausing the Back Tap feature when the device is locked. But first, you have to open the Good Lock app >> Life up >> RegiStar >> tap and enable Back tap action >> Gates menu. Now, you can see the below-mentioned options.

Pause Back-Tap when:

Device Locked 

• This option is enabled by default and you can turn it off.

Power saving mode:

• You can turn on it by tapping on to toggle. When power saver mode is turned on then the Back tap feature automatically paused.

Low Battery

• The Back Tap feature stops when the battery drops below 15%.

Furthermore, the January 2023 update of Samsung RegiStar also fixes an issue of automatic switching of PIP when executing an action. You will have to download 30.82 MB of software to install the latest update. It may take hours/days to reach your devices as it is an initial rollout.
