Samsung presents vision for Calmer Connected World at CES 2023

Samsung officially shared its vision to bring calm to the connected devices experience at CES 2023. At the event, the company presented its challenge for carbon neutrality and the future of smart living in the SmartThings universe.

The Korean tech giant introduced a technology vision that could make a huge difference to people’s daily lives and the global environment by seamlessly connecting the 14 billion devices currently on the market. To this end, nearly half of the DX division’s executives and employees revealed that they are focusing on the connected technology sector.

Back in September 2022, Samsung introduced its new environmental management strategy and announced its goal of achieving carbon neutrality in the global environment by 2050 through innovative technologies. For this, the DX division plans to switch to 100% renewable energy by 2027 and become carbon neutral by 2030.

Samsung has collaborated with Patagonia to develop the Microplastic Reduction Course, which can reduce the number of microplastics generated during the washing process by up to 54%.

Furthermore, the company has also showcased next-generation innovations and technologies using the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI). Spatial AI-powered experiences, such as Jetbot AI+ to laying the groundwork for a better home experience based on the dimensions and context of your location.

Samsung also previewed Relumino Mode, which will be available on select 2023 Samsung Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs this year, making content accessible to the visually impaired. This Relumino mode emphasizes contours and improves contrast and color, making content clearer and easier to appreciate.
