Camera Watermark
The Camera Watermark feature lets you add a watermark of the model name or date and time on the pictures. To do so, you have to open the Samsung Camera app >> Setting icon >> Watermark option >> Turn on the toggle and customize it.
Custom Stickers
To send a suitable sticker according to the scenario/emotion, you don’t need to waste your time searching for it because you can create the sticker by yourself.
You can create custom stickers by visiting the Samsung Gallery app >> select an image >> Edit icon >> Decoration >> Stickers >> My Stickers >> Plus icon >> select image >> resize/crop it and press next >> Apply border and its color >> Tap on done.

Video recording in Photo mode [Camera Assistant]
Like Instagram, you can now record video by tapping and holding the shutter button without changing mode in the Samsung Camera app. To do so, you have to enable Camera Assistant’s touch-and-hold shutter button feature to stop/start recording video.
If you have experienced the inconvenience of recording a video when you accidentally press and hold the shutter button when capturing a picture, just turn on the Video recording in the Photo mode toggle from the Camera Assistant Good Lock module.
Open Good Lock app >> Life up >> Download and Camera Assistant module >> turn on the Video Recording in Photo Mode feature.
Back tap function of RegiStar [Good Lock]
One UI 5.0 Good Lock added some new modules, and RegiStar is one of them. This module comes with Back tap gestures function which you can use to start pop-up windows, show notifications, show recent, and more.
To enable the back tap feature, open the Good Lock app >> Life up >> Download and open RegiStar app >> Back tap action >> Enable the toggle to get access to Double tap and Triple tap >> Assign function/task to both.
Gallery Widget
Samsung brought back the Gallery Widget option with the One UI 5.0 update, which had been ditched with the One UI 4.1 update. You can add Gallery Widget on the Home screen by tapping and holding the blank space on the home screen >> Widgets >> Gallery >> Images and Stories >> Press Add option.
Pin Important Reminder to top option
You can now pin the important reminders on the list screen so you can check them on the top.
For pining Important reminders, open the Samsung Reminder app >> tap on the More option (Three dots on the right side) >> Pin important from top option.
Lock Album of Gallery app
With the Samsung One UI 5.0 Gallery app, you can now lock albums without hiding them with the Lock Album feature, so that no second person can open them. Once it is enabled, the album will be unlocked only with an authenticated fingerprint/PIN.
You can lock the album, just need to choose any album >> More option >> Lock Album.
Calendar Labs option
With One UI 5.0, you can access the Calendar Labs menu which allows you to try the experimental feature on your Galaxy device. Currently, there are two options for customizing the recommendation feature:
- High event recommendations: Events with similar titles won’t be recommended when you enter event titles.
- Hide time/ place recommendation: Times and places won’t be recommended when you enter event titles. [Available on Calendar app v12.4.02.9000]
Open the Samsung Calendar app >> Menu option >> Settings icon >> Labs.
Bixby Text Call: Intelligent Assistant
Samsung One UI 5.0 Bixby Text Call feature lets you find who’s calling and why before picking up a call. Through Quick response and Voice options, this intelligent assistant answered your call automatically and responses you type or tap are read aloud. Currently, the feature is only available in the Korean language.
To enable this feature, Open the Samsung Phone app >> Menu option >> Settings >> Bixby Text Call.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G smartphone is finally getting the One UI 5.1.1 update, which brings many improvements and new features to the device. The update is rolling out for locked variants in the US.

In addition to South Korea and Germany, Samsung has now launched the Android 14-based One UI 6 Beta in the US. Users of carrier-unlocked or T-Mobile branded Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, or S23 Ultra smartphones can now sign up to get the Beta firmware via OTA.
