Samsung brings new flagship attraction in France with Europe’s Largest Circular LED Signage

Samsung brings Europe’s Largest Circular LED Signage to the Futuroscope theme park in Poitiers, France. This circular LED signage at “Chasseurs de Tornades” (Tornado Hunters) will be a new flagship attraction for visitors in the country that will provide them with an immersive and lifelike experience.

Futuroscope Management and Development (FMD) helped Samsung to create the largest 360-degree circular LED screen in France and bring the breathtaking attraction to life.

Samsung, in collaboration with the FMD team, took four years to create this wonderful Chasseurs de Tornades. The vision behind this creation is a thrilling adventure where visitors encounter the most extreme elements of nature. Here, visitors follow a team of researchers in their all-terrain vehicle to chase a tornado.

This massive Samsung LED wall is 17 meters in diameter and eight meters high, with a total area of 420 square meters, which is the largest LED screen of its kind in an amusement park set up by Samsung all over the world.

Furthermore, this new flagship attraction is created with 800 LED cabinets from the Samsung Indoor IFR series and offers 21K resolution for hyper-realistic immersion. It offers optimized scenes for high contrast to display detailed, lifelike images due to HDR LED tech. Also, it allows premium picture quality with its highest peak light output of 2400 nits, and a static contrast rate of 12,000:1.

The four sections of the screen slide down to let spectators in and out and watch two live stage shows through sliding doors. Whereas, the IFR solution’s flexible design properties make it suitable for any location, perfectly aligning with the circular dimensions needed for this unique attraction.
