Samsung A54 official website

Tipster IceUniverse yesterday revealed that the Galaxy Unpacked event might be held on the first day of February. Recent changes in Samsung’s working strategy suggest the company will now focus on flagships to beat Apple. Meanwhile, it looks like, Samsung may not launch Galaxy A74 in 2023 to focus on flagships.

Pointed out by GalaxyClub, there’s nothing leaked about the Galaxy A74 smartphone. So far, we’ve seen renders and multiple certifications gained by Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34, however, the Galaxy A74 has not yet been spotted anywhere.

It suggests that the company has no plan to introduce the Galaxy A74, which could make the Galaxy A54 the most premium mid-range smartphone. Back in 2021, the company released the Galaxy A72 with a telephoto camera for the first time in the non-Galaxy flagship.

This year, the Galaxy A73 debuted with 108MP primary camera, ditching the telephoto zoom lens. This was also the first time when a mid-range Galaxy phone featured a 108MP camera sensor, however, it doesn’t gain profit for Samsung due to high pricing.

After the Galaxy S22 FE, the Korean tech giant is also ditching the Galaxy A74 as part of simplifying its product lineup. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will be a pricey flagship device due to upgrades in camera and display, however, the Galaxy S22 base model could get a price cut in the near future.

The Galaxy A54 5G could come with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display and 120Hz refresh rate. There will be a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera as well as a 32MP front camera for selfies.
