The Korean tech giant has redesigned the Wallet Digital Key app icon with the new update, which is almost similar to the Wallet app icon. Previously, the icon of the Digital Key is similar to Samsung Pass because this function worked under that app.

But now, Samsung Wallet combines Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass to store and access digital IDs, payments, keys, cards, and more. That’s why the company has updated the Samsung Wallet Digital Key app with a new icon nearly similar to Samsung Wallet app.

The update is rolling out gradually so it may take time/hours to reach all eligible devices. To mention, the Samsung Wallet app is available in limited countries though the Korean tech giant is regularly working to make it available for all Galaxy devices.

To check and install the update, you have to open Galaxy Store on your smartphone >> Tap on the More option >> Press Updates. Here you can see all the available updates, you can install them by pressing the refresh icon next to the app name or tapping on the Update all option.

Samsung integrates My Files app into Galaxy phone’s Settings

Samsung My Files joins Settings

Samsung My Files is reportedly integrated into the Galaxy phone’s Settings. Since the change is spotted on a limited number of devices, the company might make it official with the April 2023 application update.

Two screenshots shared by Twitter user @choehau_alen show that the My Files app no longer remains a One UI app and Samsung integrated it into the Settings, between the Battery and device care and Apps tabs.

Samsung My Files joins Settings

You can either keep the My Files app in your Galaxy phone’s App Drawer or remove it. The user has also shared a link to My Files app version 14.1.03.16, which may have included the integration change for Galaxy devices.

Through this change, Samsung wants to make the My Files function way too easily accessible compared to current situation. The app is currently available through app drawer, and it’s now getting a dedicated space in Settings.

Since the company is making the change live on some Galaxy devices, users are not in favor of this change. If you want to access My Files as an app, you can continue using it through the App Drawer and Home screen.

Additionally, the One UI has integrated the My Files into Settings, making it an OS function. As Android is also preventing users access the root directory of storage, Samsung is putting additional efforts in the same direction.
