A Samsung fan shared the concept of Panel Start – an impressive Good Lock module through his Twitter handle. Just a few days ago, the same user came with the One UI 5.1 concept that showed the new sleek notification panel and quick settings user interface.

PanelStar Concept for Samsung Good Lock

As per the concept, the PanelStar module will let users customize Notification and Quick panel layouts through some presets. In addition, it will allow you to design Quick Panel and Notification panel as you like.

Through PanelStar, there will be an option named ‘Use old notification grouping system’ that let you use the notification grouping feature seen in One UI 3.0.

Below this option, you will find the ‘Panel Layout Editor’ feature that lets you choose any of the preset designs and create a new custom panel layout. To create a new panel, you will get size, shape, and position options to customize each and every UI element of  Notification and Quick Panel.

The user also shared images of different preset layouts, in which you can see quick settings toggles, brightness control slider, device, media output control, and notifications section in different places and sizes.

If we talk, this concept is really amazing, and it gives us a chance to design the quick panel and notification according to our own.

However, it is only a concept so there is little possibility for PanelStar to be executed in Good Lock. But, if Samsung wants, then the company can convert the PanelStar concept into a module and bring it to Good Lock so that Galaxy users can design the quick panel and notification panel.

Samsung One UI 7 Home Up app features

Samsung Home Up app provides a variety of features to personalize the home screen and app screens on your Galaxy devices. With the One UI 7, Samsung has enhanced the Home Up Good Lock module, bringing in new features and improvements to elevate Galaxy’s experience to the next level.

Let’s take a look at the new features and updates in the Home Up app with One UI 7.

Fresh Interface

Upon opening the Home Up app, you’ll notice a redesigned interface featuring rounded squarish shapes instead of the previous list view. This new design adds a modern and appealing look. Each shape is uniquely shaded and includes the option name, an icon, a preview of some features, and a toggle.

The updated interface presents six key functions: Home screen, backup and restore, Task changer, Gesture settings (new), Edge Panel (new), and Share Manager. The Folder option, previously found in One UI 6.1, is now located under the Home screen section.

Home Screen

Unlike the previous few options, the Home Up offers several new options to customize One UI Home. It now includes settings for basic operations and style, home screen layout, folders, app screens, and more.

You can personalize app icons, enable background blur, loop pages, adjust the home grid, and manage Finder access. Additionally, you can modify the app grid, folder layout, screen grid, folder icon grid, and control the appearance of popup folders and large folders, including matching the folder background color to the older style.

A new feature, the DIY Home Screen, is available exclusively to Galaxy S24 users testing the One UI 7 beta. This feature allows you to decorate your home screen with various stickers, freely move items, and use different convenient editing tools to customize your layout.

Gesture Settings

A new section introduced in One UI 7 for the Home Up app is Gesture Settings. This section lets you adjust several gesture-related settings, including animation tuning.

  • Show Edge Handle: Keep the edge handle visible, even while using an app in full-screen mode.

Task Changer

The Task Bar Layout now offers four options instead of five, with the Tilt Stack option replacing the List and Stack views. With One UI 7, you can now reorder app icons in the taskbar and add new icons on foldable and tablet devices.

Backup and Restore
