Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Front Camera

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is reportedly featuring the biggest camera upgrade when it comes to the rear primary sensor. Meanwhile, a recent report claims to have “confirmed” information that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will use a 12MP front camera.

According to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will introduce a new front camera with a 12MP resolution. Notably, it sounds like a big downgrade as Ultra variants since the S20 to S22 lineup feature a 40MP selfie camera. However, megapixel count doesn’t radically affect camera quality in Samsung.

Apart from the S23 Ultra, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus also getting upgraded front camera years after wait. As reported, both non-Ultra variants of the Galaxy S23 series will use a new sensor with a higher 12MP resolution, up from the previously used 10MP.

Hopefully, the Korean tech giant will prove once again that picture quality is not only dependent on sensor’s megapixel counts. With the new 12MP selfie camera, the upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra may offer better selfies without compromising quality even after the sensor downgrade.

Vapor chamber cooling

The upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra may exclusively feature a vapor chamber cooling function. Since Samsung is reducing manufacturing costs, the standard Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus may not ship with an elaborate cooling system, as revealed in a recent leak.

It’s worth mentioning that the Ultra model of the Galaxy S22 series features the vapor chamber cooling system, which appears to be continued with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Hopefully, the company will introduce an improved version of this premium cooler compared to its predecessor.
