5 notable changes in Samsung One UI 5.0 Gallery settings
Samsung One UI 5.0 arrives with a slew of new features and enhancements for Galaxy devices. Along with this, the company has updated a list of its stock apps with One UI 5 to bring new features and changes, of which Samsung Reminder and Gallery are at the top.

New Features
Select Album to show
Samsung added Select Album to show the feature to Gallery Settings with One UI 5.0. This new feature allows you to select your favorite or important album on the show on the main page of the My Albums section.
You can see the option to choose an album in the Albums section only after you have turned on the ‘Select album to show‘ option toggle, otherwise, you will not see any option.
Merge Album
Merge Album options available with One UI 5.0 to Galaxy devices. Once you enable the merge option, albums with the same name are merged and shown as one album. Whenever you open a merge album, a message appears that it is a merge album and has been created by adding a number of albums.
Shifted feature
Hide Content
In One UI 4.1, this feature was found in the Gallery settings, but the company has shifted it to the More option in the My Albums and Stories sections with One UI 5.0.
Earlier, through this feature, you used to hide the selected date, people, or pet’s picture and video in the created stories. Now you can hide select stories or albums by going to the Stories and My Albums section.
Removed option
Auto Create Stories
With One UI 5, the company has added many new features to the Stories section as well as providing the option to edit it. Whenever you go to the Stories section, you can see those auto-created stories. The company has removed the option of disabling Auto-create stories with the latest One UI version.

Shared Album Notifications
Samsung renamed the Notifications options to the Shared Album Notification option with One UI 5.0. Through this feature, you get notified when peoples share albums, add new images/videos, and any new people join or leave Shared Album.

It also brings new lock screen widgets, customizable alarm alerts with AR Emoji, revamped Calendar app settings section, and more.
Overall the update enhances the Galaxy A14 5G experience with creative editing tools, personalization options, and security enhancements to make it a more versatile and secure device.
To install and install the update, open Settings>> Software Updates >> Download and install.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G smartphone is finally getting the One UI 5.1.1 update, which brings many improvements and new features to the device. The update is rolling out for locked variants in the US.
One UI 5.1.1 update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G comes with One UI build version F707USQU6IWI1 in the US. The latest firmware installs the August 2023 security patch to improve the system security and stability of the device.
Users who have received the notification on their smartphone can get the update through Settings >> Software Update >> Download and Install.
One UI 5.1.1 update for Galaxy Z Flip 5G
Based on Android 13, One UI 5.1.1 enhances the multitasking experience by showing better app previews on the Recents screen, allowing easy switching from pop-up view to split screen, and restoring pop-ups snapped to the edge of the screen.
The update also improves the Flex mode, which lets users use more apps with the Flex mode panel, customize the toolbar, and access improved media controls. It also introduces a new Quick Share feature, which enables users to share files with their contacts anytime and anywhere, and also protect their private content by setting expiration dates and preventing resharing.
Moreover, this major update also improves the Samsung Health app, which provides better sleep coaching, more meaningful sleep data, skin temperature measurement during sleep, better workout summaries, and enhanced rewards and badges.
Aside from this, the update also enhances the Camera and Gallery apps, which offer more date and time styles for watermarks, enhanced remaster previews, easier effect adjustments, and copy and paste effects. It adds some additional changes, such as drag and drop with two hands, app cache clearing, and enhanced memory management.
