Samsung has begun rolling out the new software update for carrier-unlocked Galaxy A53 smartphones in the US. Unfortunately, this update is still not installing the new Android 13-based One UI 5.0 software. In early November, the Korean company started delivering the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy A53 smartphones in Europe. Slowly, the update has reached many countries, even carrier-locked customers in the US. But the carrier-unlocked users in the country are still waiting for the major upgrade.

This update bears One UI build version A536U1UES4AVK6 and it comes with fixes for around 80 issues and vulnerabilities that affect the users’ privacy and their phone’s security.
As per the official information, these fixes include 5 critical, 60 high, and 2 moderate levels of vulnerabilities, which are a part of Google’s Android security bulletin. At the same time, it also addresses 13 Galaxy-specific exposures that were harming One UI apps and services.
