Samsung One UI 5.1 Image Clipper feature spotted in Galaxy S23 Ultra
The awaited Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones are here with the most advanced internals and the fresh Android 13-based One UI 5.1 software. The Galaxy S23 running One UI 5.1 includes so many new features; one of them is the “Image Clipper”.
You might be familiar with the Apple iOS 16’s photo cutout feature that lets iPhone users copy any object from the picture and paste it anywhere. This feature is now available in Samsung Galaxy as well.
Currently, we do not know whether the company will bring this feature to older Galaxy phones with the One UI 5.1 update. However, we will not have to wait much to know this as the One UI 5.1 rollout is not far away.
One UI 5.1 Image Clipper feature:
The One UI 5.1 Gallery app comes with a new Image Clipper function. It provides users with the ability to extract the subject of a photo from background elements and paste it to Messages, Telegram, Notes, and more.
It digitally cuts out the main part of the photo so that you can share it on its own or paste it into another image with an entirely different background. This feature is based on machine learning to recognize certain objects in your photos, such as popular landmarks, flowers, plants, certain pet breeds, and even birds and insects.
Not only that, but your Galaxy phone can identify almost anything as a distinct subject of a photo, whether it’s a person, a street sign, a household appliance, or a random object lying on a table. Isn’t it insane?

How to extract object from pictures:
Using the Image Clipper function to extract objects from pictures is as easy as you copy any text and paste it into messages.
All you need to do is select a picture from the Gallery >> view One screen >> Long-press the object to cut. Your phone will automatically identify and cut the object. Now, you can copy the cut object to the clipboard, share it, or save it as an image.
