Samsung is working fast in deploying the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update to eligible Galaxy device users. A bunch of smartphones and tablets have received the One UI 5 update in the past couple of weeks while many devices are next to install it.

The Korean firm officially started rolling out the stable One UI 5.0 update in late October. Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy S22 smartphones were the first to grab the latest iteration of Android OS, and it is continuously reaching more customers.

Not only flagships like Galaxy S21, S20, Note 20, Fold 3, Flip 3, Fold 4, and Flip 4 but many mid-range and low-cost phones such as Galaxy M52, M32, A52, A73, A33, and A53 have also got access to Samsung’s newest custom software.

The feature-rich Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update is now making its way to Samsung Galaxy A53 5G customers in the US. This update is rolling out to select carrier-locked models including Comcast’s network in the United States.

As of now, you can identify the Samsung Galaxy A53 Android 13 update for carrier-locked models with build version A536USQU4BVK3 in the US. However, the company will not take much time to spread it to other network providers in the country.

Furthermore, the latest update has arrived with the November 2022 patch for system security and stability enhancements. It installs various user interface changes for the Quick settings panel, Notification panel, Recent menu, as well as app icons.

Samsung is now rolling out One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13 for Galaxy A23 5G smartphone users. The major One UI version update comes with One UI build version A236EXXU2BVK7.

The update is currently available for Galaxy A23 5G users in Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The company will soon make it available in more countries.

If you are using a Samsung Galaxy A23/5G smartphone and are excited about its first major software update, you can now visit its Settings to check the update now. From here, enter the Software update section and tap on the Download and install option.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A23 smartphone with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 software earlier this year. This device comes with an impressive set of specifications, considering its low cost.

However, it only supports two major Android upgrades and the current Android 13 is one of them. Next, it should only receive the Android 14 update and security patches for three more years.

On August 15, Google officially released Android 13, while Samsung started One UI 5.0 Beta activity for Galaxy phones in early August while seeded it to Public in late October. Numerous Galaxy devices are eligible to receive Android 13, meanwhile, some popular Samsung devices are not getting this major upgrade.

The South Korean tech giant offers up to four major Android upgrades to flagship Galaxy phones and tablets launched in/after 2021. Meanwhile, older flagship Galaxies such as the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series were compatible with two OS upgrades at the launch time.

In August 2020, Samsung announced that all flagship Galaxy devices debuted with Android 9-based One UI 1.x software will get three major OS upgrades. This announcement made an additional Android update possible for the famous Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 lineups.

Starting with the Android 10-based One UI 2.x, Samsung delivered the Android 11-based One UI 3.x and the Android 12-based One UI 4.x upgrades to the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10 5G smartphones.

While the Galaxy Note 10 and S10 lineups are not eligible to get any more major firmware, owners have to use their devices on the Android 12 OS. Meanwhile, Samsung will provide two more years of regular security updates to all of these devices following its February 2019’s promise.
