Samsung smartphone displays are among the most popular in the industry as they offer great durability and the brightest screens. Meanwhile, the flagship Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is coming and it’s ready to defeat Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max with increased display brightness and stronger glass protection.
Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and up to 1,750 nits peak brightness that provides a clear viewing even in sunlight.
The company is now prepared to break its own record and bring the upcoming Galaxy S23 series (at least the Ultra model) with E6 AMOLED and 2,200 nits peak brightness display, as per tipster @RGcloudS.
This 2,200 nits peak brightness for Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is around 200 nits brighter than the current top model of Apple – iPhone 14 Pro Max. Currently, we can not give 100% confirmation on this leak, however, if it’s true, the upcoming smartphone will look glorious in direct sunlight.
Besides these, Samsung is also said to improve PWM dimming by close to 2000Hz, which is slightly less than the BOE Q9 screen with a PWM dimming of 2160Hz. It will reportedly reduce eye strain to a great extent.
In another tweet, the tipster @RGcloudS further claims that the upcoming Samsung flagship smartphones will bring stronger display protection. It will be the most powerful glass protection among all Android phones that will launch in the first quarter of 2023.
The S23 Ultra might equip a new version of Gorilla Glass with protection performance closer to Apple’s Sapphire Glass. Aside from these, the phones could also bring a new glass covering for the camera in order to improve the image quality, mainly in low-light conditions.

Researchers discover critical Mali threats in Samsung Exynos phones
Among the discovered vulnerabilities, one can lead to kernel memory corruption. Not that all, but the other threats can leak physical memory addresses, and three others can lead to a physical page us-after-free condition.
In general, if your Samsung Exynos device is affected by any of these Mali vulnerabilities/threats, an attacker who executes native code in an app can gain full access to the system and bypass the permission model of the OS.
Google’s Project Zero team in their blog post said that these vulnerabilities can let attackers continue reading and writing physical pages after returning to the system.
Notably, Google’s Project Zero team initially discovered these flaws while investigating Pixel 6 devices. Thankfully, all the Snapdragon processor-powered Galaxy models are unaffected by these vulnerabilities.
Back in July, ARM spotted these Mali-related security flaws, however, any smartphone maker didn’t patch to address them. As Project Zero has finally discovered the issue in Android, hopefully, the patches will be coming next month.
Apart from Samsung, ARM-made Mali GPUs are also used in Xiaomi and OPPO smartphones. Hence, some of the Xiaomi and OPPO devices could also be affected by these Mali-related security flaws.

Samsung may launch the Galaxy A34 (mid-range 5G) smartphone in late December or early January. Ahead of the official unveiling, famous leakster, Onleaks in collaboration with Giznext, already exposed the design of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A34 5G device with 5K renders, and 360 video.
Starting with the rear panel, Samsung Galaxy A34 5G smartphone comes with a triple camera setup, which could include a primary, an ultra-wide and a macro sensor. Next to the vertically placed individual camera sensors, there is an LED flash, which looks similar to the Galaxy A32.
The Galaxy A32 first debuted a camera design without any module, which impressively expanded with the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Since all three models of the Galaxy S23 series are likely to bear the same camera design by ditching island, the Galaxy A34 could also join the party along.
On the front, the Galaxy A34 device brings the Infinity-U panel, consisting of a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The same report also claimed that this upcoming phone could be equipped with a 6.5-inch display and could expand 161.3 x 77.7 x 8.2mm.
Aside from this, the upcoming Samsung mid-ranger appears to have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on power button along with volume rockers on the right side. The left frame remains vacant as always, while the bottom side consists of USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack and mic, while the SIM card tray is positioned at the top.
