In August 2020, Samsung announced that all flagship Galaxy devices debuted with Android 9-based One UI 1.x software will get three major OS upgrades. This announcement made an additional Android update possible for the famous Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 lineups.

Starting with the Android 10-based One UI 2.x, Samsung delivered the Android 11-based One UI 3.x and the Android 12-based One UI 4.x upgrades to the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10 5G smartphones.

While the Galaxy Note 10 and S10 lineups are not eligible to get any more major firmware, owners have to use their devices on the Android 12 OS. Meanwhile, Samsung will provide two more years of regular security updates to all of these devices following its February 2019’s promise.
