Samsung is releasing November 2022 update for Weather Widget through Galaxy Store. Identified via version 126.96.36.199, the new update enhances the performance of the Samsung Weather Widget by bringing common improvements and issues fixes.
Through the new update, the company aims to make this feature better and easier to use. Users can install the latest update if they have a Galaxy device running Android 13-based One UI 5.0, you can also sideload it through the third-party source link mentioned here.
It is an initial rollout so it may take days/weeks to reach all eligible devices. Notably, you will have to download a 25.75 MB software package to install the Samsung Weather Widget November 2022 update.
Samsung Weather Widget allows you to check important information like the place, temperature, UN index, and Day/Night on your smartphone home screen. With One UI 5.0, the company added a stackable widget feature that lets you create stack widgets by dragging and dropping option or by long pressing one of the widgets you wish to edit
At the end of last month, Samsung teased new battery widgets that show the level of all paired devices along with the phone, but, seems like, the widgets are reserved for the One UI 5.1. Some users reportedly accessed it and showed three different layouts including a boxy, a circular, and a pill-shaped one. Maybe these layouts will also be applied to other app widgets.
Google app on Android adds Sports widget to track your favorite teams
Google app has added a new Sports widget for Android users, which lets you follow the teams and games that interest you. The Sports widget is currently available in the beta version of the Google app 188.8.131.52.
The Sports widget is similar to the Finance Watchlist widget that Google introduced earlier this year. It shows the upcoming, live, or past matches of the teams you follow in cards with the date, time, score, and league. You can tap on any card to open the full details of the game in Google Search.
The widget has two views: “Your games” and “Trending games”. The first shows the games of the teams you selected, while the other shows the popular or relevant games based on your search activity.
The widget also supports Dynamic Color, which adapts the widget’s background color to your wallpaper. You can resize the widget to fit your home screen and refresh it manually from the top-right corner.
