Samsung releases stable One UI 5.0 (Android 13) update for Galaxy Z Flip 3, starting Beta testers

After a long wait, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 customers can now install the stable Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in India. Initially, the update is rolling out for One UI 5.0 Beta testers in the country, however, the company will not let others wait for too long to get access to One UI 5.0 features.

As of now, Samsung is releasing the stable One UI 5.0 update for Galaxy Z Flip 3 customers with version number F711BXXU3DVK3. It brings a handful of new features, improvements, and user interface changes to the devices.

Alongside these, it also installs the most up-to-date November 2022 Android security patch that addresses multiple issues and vulnerabilities that disturbs the system’s privacy and security.

There’s a lot to look forward to in the latest iteration of Samsung’s custom Android software. If you were part of the beta program, you might already be familiar with the Android 13 One UI 5.0 features.

It brings so many premium features to your Flip 3, including 16 color palette choices that sync with the phone’s wallpaper, Stack widgets, lockdown mode, per-app language, the ability to disable RAM Plus, Camera Watermark, and many more.

On the other side, three new settings menus: Connected devices, Modes and Routines, and Security and privacy provide you with easier access to many features in no time. Whereas, with the new Lock Screen customization options, you will be able to edit every element of your lock screen.

How to download:

If you were a part of the One UI 5.0 Beta program in India, you can now install the stable Android 13 update on your Galaxy Z Flip 3. To do so, head over to “Settings” and then enter the “Software update” section. Tap on the “Download and install” option and finish the installation process to get access to the new software.

Android 13 is the last major firmware update for the Galaxy Z Flip LTE/5G and Galaxy A71 smartphone users. However, the Galaxy A52 will get Android 14 as well, while, the Galaxy A53 supports major upgrades up to Android 16 (One UI 8.0 tentative name).

Samsung consumers can check new software updates manually with a handful of simple steps. Firstly, visit your Galaxy device’s “System Settings,” once done, scroll down and tap the “Software update” tab, followed by the “Download and install” button.

How to customize app icons in Samsung smartphones?

1. Visit the Good Lock app on your Galaxy smartphone

2. Now, download the Theme Park module of Make Up category.

3. Open the Theme Park module.

4. Press on the Icon option present at the bottom.

 

5. Tap on Create new button.

6. New options appear for customizing the icons:

Shape: You can select any one shape from 11 different options.

Color: 

  • Icon Color: You can choose the color of the icon
  • Tray color: For the background of the icon, you can choose a color from here.

Size: You can adjust the size of the icon through the slider.

Icon Pack: From here, you can see the downloaded icon pack and when you apply any pack, app icons are changed with the images of the selected icon pack.

 

7. If you have selected the color, shape, and size of icons then you have to press on the download icon present at the top left corner.

8. A new pop-up appears, enter the name and press OK.

9. Now, select the icon pack that you have newly created.

10. Click on the Apply option.

11. It is done.
