Samsung may ship 30 million less Galaxy A/M series phones in 2023
Samsung reportedly plans to reduce smartphone shipments by 30 million units, about 13% in 2023. The report suggests Samsung is reducing the components orders for Galaxy A and Galaxy M series phones, due to which suppliers such as MediaTek will also be affected.
Among suppliers, MediaTek is the main supplier of chipsets for the Galaxy A and M series smartphones, while Largan provides lens modules, Shuanghong provides cooling modules, and Jingtech is the supplier of quartz components.

Compared to other makers, Samsung and MediaTek will surely be badly affected as they are the key components suppliers to the Electronics division. It’s reported that the company has taken this decision due to low demand and less sign of market recovery.
