Samsung One UI 5.0 issues

After running a beta program for more than two months, Samsung finally started rolling out the stable Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update to its eligible Galaxy devices. This upgrade is currently in the early stages, which means it may contain errors for some users. What about you, are you facing any issues after installing the stable One UI 5.0 update on your Samsung smartphone? Or your device is working perfectly?

In late October, the Korean company began to deliver the stable One UI 5.0 update. Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy S22 smartphones are the first to grab this update. After this, the update further expanded to Galaxy S21, S20, Note 20, A53, A33, and many other flagships and mid-range smartphones.

But nothing is perfect. If there are a lot of goodies in the new software, then there are some flaws as well. And by the way, Samsung has only released the first One UI 5.0 update in which it will see what issues users are facing in the stable builds so that it can resolve them in the next update.

Furthermore, when Samsung Galaxy S22 collected the stable One UI 5.0 update in October, many users reported Bluetooth connectivity problems. This issue was restricting Bluetooth devices like smartwatches, buds, speakers, etc to connect to the smartphone.

However, the company didn’t take much time to address this problem and resolved it in a few days. Aside from this, many other Samsung One UI 5.0 users have reported various issues like battery drain, camera autofocus errors, call recording errors, display flickering, and others. We hope Samsung will address these issues and release a fix soon.

It’s worth mentioning that the updates are rolling out in a staged manner, which means it is not available for all regions at the present time. However, you should keep patient and wait for the software to reach your Galaxy smartphone.

Samsung betting big on America’s chip future with $320k salaries

Samsung Taylor Chip Fab US

Samsung is making bold moves to capture the US semiconductor market. Samsung America’s offering up to $320,000 base salaries for Director and Manager roles; this signals a strong push to attract top chip talent.

The company is recruiting for three key foundry positions: two sales and business development roles and one senior engineering manager. With performance bonuses, salaries could reach $400,000, as per BusinessKorea, citing industry sources.

Samsung’s been beefing up its US sales team lately. Back in March 2025, the company brought on Margaret Han, a TSMC veteran, to run US foundry sales. She’s tasked with landing major players like NVIDIA or Qualcomm.

The Korean tech giant’s Foundry Division is improving its 2-nanometer process yield, making it more appealing to big customers. Han Jin-man, head of the division, frequently visits the U.S. to oversee and boost local sales efforts.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration might soon limit semiconductor equipment heading to Samsung’s Chinese factories. If that happens, the company will need Commerce Department approval, which could complicate things.

Samsung’s high salaries and smart hires show the firm is serious about dominating the US semiconductor market. With a new factory and AI chips in focus, Samsung is gearing up to be a major player for years to come.

The company is also building a new factory in Taylor, which would start operations between late 2026 and early 2027. This chip plant aims to strengthen Samsung’s position in the growing US semiconductor market.

The rise of the AI-driven ASIC market, projected to grow from $23.1 billion in 2024 to $47.8 billion by 2034, is fueling Samsung’s strategy. Leading US vendors such as Broadcom and Marvell are driving this demand.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Flip 7 Teaser

Samsung officially launches its new foldables on July 9th in the US. We’ve seen lots of leaked renders and are pretty much aware of specs, and now a retailer listing reveals the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 price in Europe.

According to NieuweMobiel, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 may launch with a brutal price hike in Europe. Both the upcoming foldables may cost up to €200 more than their predecessors, with country-specific VAT included.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 may start at €2,227 in Italy, while the 512GB version may cost €2,309. The Galaxy Z Flip7’s top tier would have a price tag of €1,425, making it €100 pricier than its predecessor in Europe.

While the price hike is €100 for the Flip model, the Fold is getting a price jump of €200. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is going to be Samsung’s most expensive phone ever. The retailer listings aren’t confirmed but can be considered almost final.

Galaxy Unpacked 2025

Samsung has a history of offering striking deals to early adopters. Pre-reservations have begun in various markets, bringing you a $50 credit in the US. Pre-order deals would also include enhanced trade-in credits and some freebies.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are getting some notable upgrades over the previous models. The former would be getting a Fold SE-like bigger screen and a 200MP camera, while the latter is all set to flaunt a full-view cover screen like the Moto Razr.

The Fold7 will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite globally, while the Z Flip7 will feature Exynos 2500. Android 16-based One UI 8 will be pre-loaded on both phones, with Samsung already teasing exceptional Galaxy AI upgrades.

The retailer listing suggests a massive price hike for both foldables; however, European markets are usually considered the most expensive for gadgets. We hope the price of these foldable phones will remain the same in key markets.
