Samsung releases November 2022 security update for Galaxy S22 in the US

The Galaxy S22 was Samsung’s initial line that had received the major Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update. Now, Samsung released the November 2022 Android security update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra in the US.

The latest software update comes with software versions S901USQU2BVK1, S906USQU2BVK1 and S908USQU2BVK1 for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra, respectively. To be mentioned, the update is currently available for the Verizon bounded Galaxy S22 models.

According to Verizon’s support page, the November 2022 update provides performance improvements and the most up-to-date Android security patches on your Galaxy S22 series device. Apart from this, the changelog doesn’t mention any new features, bug fixes or addition of new feature/functionality.

To be noted, Samsung’s November 2022 security patch brings fixes for three critical, 32 high, and one moderate level of CVEs. Aside from this, the company also provides several Samsung Vulnerability Items for Galaxy devices’ system stability and privacy.

How to update

Samsung consumers can check new software updates manually with a handful of simple steps. Firstly, visit your Galaxy device’s “System Settings,” once done, scroll down and tap the “Software update” tab, followed by the “Download and install” button.
