Microsoft is continuously releasing new features for Windows 11 users to provide them with the most advanced functionality. Recently, the company announced that Samsung and other laptops running Windows 11 can now access to Apple iCloud Photos library.

On November 9, Microsoft has begun rolling out the iCloud Photos integration in the Photos app on Windows 11 laptops through an update to the app on the Microsoft Store. Although it is available to select customers at this time, it is expected to reach all users by the end of this month.

The new iCloud Photos integration on Samsung laptops will allow users to access all of their photos in the Photos app on Windows 11 devices. This is helpful for customers who use Apple iPhones but Windows laptops. They can now have all their pictures in one place.

Furthermore, in order to use this function, you first need to download the iCloud for Windows app and update the Photos app from the Microsoft Store. After this, you will have to sign in to iCloud using your Apple ID and enable photo library sync.

Once done, all your pictures and videos that are saved in your iPhone’s iCloud will start automatically appearing in the Windows 11 Photos app on your laptop.

This iCloud Photos integration will make it easier for those with an iPhone to have direct access to all their cherished memories in one organized place and is another step in our continued efforts to make experiences on Windows 11 seamless.”

Samsung has just recently started rolling out the One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone in the US and the company is now expanding this update in Europe. Users can identify this major update through One UI build version F946BXXU1CXCF.

One UI 6.1 update is based on Android 14 and brings powerful Galaxy AI capability to provide a more intuitive experience. It also installs the March 2024 security update and updates stock apps to the latest available version.

Chat Assist in Samsung Messages offers writing style suggestions, and the Interpreter function converts spoken words to text in various languages.

Moreover, the Gallery app’s Generative Edit enables creative photo editing, while AI Edit Suggestion provides helpful tips. Samsung Note Assist formats text, summarizes content, and translates notes.

Furthermore, the Voice Recorder app now transcribes and summarizes voice recordings. In the Samsung Internet app, users can summarize or translate web pages.
